An excellent opportunity has come up with Cater Care for Part Time Weekend Chefs to work at a Retirement facility in Ashwood, Victoria.

The key to our success is our people. Your role in this environment is to provide a warm and welcoming service to our valued residents through the cooking of a variety of home style meals, preparation of ingredients and provide professional exceptional food service.

Roster: Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-2:00pm or 10:00am-6.00pm

Please Note: successful applicants will be required to undergo a Police Clearance before commencing

Key Responsibilities include:

• Basic food preparation, plating up and serving food to elderly residents
  
• Responsible for delivery of special diets and diet requirements including allergies/intolerances, supplements and texture modified soft & purees
  
• Customer service, warm friendly interaction with elderly residents
  
• General cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas and extensive washing dishes
  
• Compliance to food safety hygiene and food handling/preparation procedures
  

Key Attributes required:

• Good customer service, strong communication skills
  
• Previous experience within Aged Care food service or working with vulnerable persons
  
• Food handling Certificate or equivalent experience
  
• Ability to work as part of a team
  

The applicants are expected to have previous experience in a similar role working in Aged Care, Health or Hospitals. You will be a well presented and self-motivated individual who has excellent organisational and communication skills.
