About the business
AKAIITO is one of the brand new fusion Japanese dinning launching in Melbourne's CBD. The venue will be offering Morden Japanese cuisine including Yakitori bar, fresh sushi counter as well as Omakase menu. The basement space offering Morden Japanese whisky bar concept. The restaurant opens 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Including a lot of space for private evening events.
About the role
The ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of a high volume restaurant, having a good knowledge of japanese food and great organisation skills in the kitchen are beneficial to success. Having the ability to lead a team when the Head Chef is off and being confident with ordering and stock control. Flexibility to work over a 7 day week and bring in a good vibe to the family feel brigade. Create dishes with alongside the Head Chef with seasonal seafood and a fine dining refined feel. Use your talents to wow the locals as well as the international tourism. Flexible salary and high tips available to the right candidate.

Successful candidate profile
- Mid-intermediate English skills (if non-native)
- Cooking/Kitchen experience. Sound understanding of OH&S procedures
- Capability of maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work station

- Outstanding multitasking capability and willingness to work in a highly demanding position
