Meat Market offers pasture fed beef from some of Australia’s best ethical producers, with our central kitchen we bring you back to the butcher where it all begins.
The Meat Market team consists of a team of 4 on busy shifts in an open kitchen. We pride ourselves on a second to none experience with a great team of professional chefs willing to succeed.
We are currently have the Sous Chef position vacant and are looking for the right person to fill the role.
Sous Chef's will be responsible for;
- Working with the Head Chef to develop menus to suit the style of the venue.
- Keep up to date with current trends and monitor the success of the menu
- Be responsible for the kitchen in the absence of the head chef
- Manage stock effectively and maintain best practice ordering, storage, rotation and utilisation techniques.
- Ensure continual staff coaching and training
- Lead by example
- Monitor and ensure that OH&S, Food Safety and IR requirements are adhered to
- Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen including your own appearance
- Meet and look to exceed the customer's expectations
