Iconic bay side venue requiring a Sous-Chef for our Upstairs Restaurant. Working with a great team in a wonderful location!
Middle Brighton Baths Restaurant is seeking a motivated sous chef for our busy restaurant. We are open 7 days a week, serving Australian cuisine, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Baths Middle Brighton is Melbourne’s premiere beach side venue with a breathtaking view of Port Phillip bay and Melbourne’s city skyline with superior contemporary food and cocktails to match.
The upstairs restaurant offers a premium dining experience where guests are treated to a carefully crafted, modern Australian menu featuring only the best local and international ingredients.
We are open 7 days a week.
Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef responsibilities will include:
- Supervision of kitchen staff and rosters in the absence of Head Chef
- Manage stock on a daily basis and receiving of goods in line with safety requirements
- Delivering consistent quality food to our members and guests
Sous Chef Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge in French cuisine is an advantage
- Highly motivated and passionate about food bringing a positive attitude to the kitchen
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work days, evenings and weekends
- Committed to Health and Safety
- Exceptional customer service
The successful applicant must be able to work in Australia and should have a stable work history in high volume, quality restaurants and be able to demonstrate strong cooking and leadership abilities.
