ABOUT THE SERVICE

The Melbourne Eastern Private Hospital (TMEPH), located in Boronia, Victoria, is part of Macquarie Health Corporation, one of the leading providers of private hospitals in Australia. Macquarie operates 11 private hospitals across NSW and VIC.

In late 2017, TMEPH completed a $10m development of a new 33-bed medical/rehabilitation ward, including a hydrotherapy pool and gym. This investment has complemented TMEPH’s existing surgical and endoscopy services and positions TMEPH as one of the leading private hospitals in the Eastern suburbs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for experienced Senior Cook to join our team. This role is to manage the kitchen and staff on a daily basis and is a full time role, 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday with a possibility of one weekend day (this is negotiable). This role will suit someone experienced in managing a hospital kitchen and the various dietary requirements inherent in this setting.

DUTIES

• Manage and monitor the Kitchen outputs to the highest standard
• Ensure all processes within the kitchen are completed as per the TMEPH Food Safety Plan
• Liaise with nursing team to ensure all dietary requirements of the patients are met
• Ensure all ordering is within budget

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with cooking in the Hospital environment
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Intermediate computer skills
• Able to work autonomously
• Ability to problem solve and use initiative
• Current Cooking qualifications
• Current Drivers’ Licence
