The Athenaeum Club, one of Melbourne's most prestigious establishments, is seeking a Part Time Sandwich Hand/Cook who is looking to continue his/her learning and development.

The Sandwich Hand/Cook will work with a team of chefs and be responsible for assisting in delivering a consistently high quality food product for lunch in the Club's Bar and assisting in food preparation for the clubs three other outlets when required.

Working to a set roster with shifts being Monday to Friday, 10am - 2pm.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a true hospitality professional, trade qualified and dedicated to providing culinary excellence and service
• Be driven and focused with a desire to learn and succeed in a culinary career
• Display excellent communication skills and be a team player
• Be familiar with European and Australian cuisine
• Be exceptionally well presented and groomed

Key responsibilities in the role include:

• Assisting in the preparation and service of a limited sandwich and bar menu
• Assist in establishing and maintaining standard recipes, including photographic presentation of menu items
• Maintaining efficient OH&S standards to a Food Safety Program with the knowledge and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
