We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a passion for hospitality to join the team in a leadership role.

We are in the heart of the CAMMERAY (just over the bridge). We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a passion for specialty, delicious food and exemplary customer service to join the team in a leadership role.

The Role


This is a hands-on role involving all the operational aspects of the restaurant including team leadership, customer service, sales/profitability tracking, ordering and admin.

As the restaurant manager you will have day to day autonomy and report directly to the owner who has stepped back from day to day operations. You will lead the team from the front by example and be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations, maintaining excellence in customer service, driving sales growth and overseeing a happy working environment and positive culture.

You will have line management responsibility for the front of house team that includes the baristas and floor staff. You will work alongside the chef and providing input and ideas on the menu and feedback from customers.

The role itself is fast paced and hands on from open to close.

Specifics tasks include:

  • - Morning setup including food display and end of day close
  • - Team organisation and management
  • - Point of sale management and taking orders during service
  • - Customer service and running the floor during lunch
  • - Managing and balancing cash and daily sales reporting
  • - Quality Control and Food Health and Safety Compliance
  • - Managing catering orders and delivery
  • - Packaging and drinks ordering

The individual:

We are looking for someone with high energy, a positive can-do attitude, ambition and a desire to be part of a successful operation.

  • - An intense passion for good food
  • - A thorough understanding of and dedication to delivering customer service excellence
  • - At least 2 years experience in a cafe manager role
  • - A willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty leading from the front
  • - Ability to inspire, train and develop a small team
  • - Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • - Strong attention to detail and a great memory for faces and names
  • - An ability to motivate and mentor staff to achieve business KPIs.
  • - A flexible and resilient mindset
  • - Ability to effectively hire and train staff
  • - Excellent time management and planning skills
