This restaurant is searching for an energetic Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house team. The upmarket venue has been open for a little over a year and prides itself of the delivery of exceptional service and product. Searching now for a leader to enhance and grow the team, the Restaurant Manager will oversee all aspects of the venue in absence of the owners. With responsibilities from recruitment, through to marketing and financials, the candidate will have autonomy in the role and be responsible for its success.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of 15 staff
• Recruitment, team development and training of all staff
• Wine list development and supplier negotiations for all front of house stock
• Providing excellent customer service and handling complaints in an empathetic and professional manner
• Responsible for all financials of the business, including wage control and COGSs in conjunction with the Head Chef
• Maintaining and increasing customer base with a push on corporate clientele throughout local and online marketing
• Overseeing the restaurant and bar team through day and evening shifts, including weekends. You must be fully flexible in working shifts.

To be the right fit for this role you will:

• Have previous experience in a Restaurant Manager or Venue Manager role
• A valid Victoria RSA and possess beer, wine and spirit knowledge
• Be fluent in English and Mandarin or Cantonese (essential)
• Be a leader with a hands on-approach to management
• Come from an a la carte background in a high-volume venue
• Be already situated in the East suburbs within easy travelling distance to Ringwood.
