The Role & Responsibilities

As a Pastry Commis Chef you will support and work with a dedicated team of pastry chefs. This role will see you work with our Vue de monde Head Chef and our Group Executive Pastry Chef.

You will work with quality produce in creating fine, creative and exciting desserts in the Iki-jime pastry kitchen. You will possess genuine excitement and passion for the industry and the desire to build a career with an internationally recognized hospitality group. Above all, you will be keen to learn and committed to achieving the very best.

Located on Little Collins Street, Vue de monde provides an experience incomparable to any other. Showcasing wonderful Australian fair Iki-jime is Melbourne’s first dedicated Seafood restaurant in Melbourne’s CBD. Being part of the Vue Group Iki-jime caters to discerning drinkers stopping by for a martini, a great glass of wine in an elegant, sophisticated environment.

You will need to have:

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Possess a strong work ethic
  • Excellent food knowledge
  • A desire to perform at the highest level
