More about the role

The role of Care Service Employee (Kitchen) works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen. In addition, this role ensures excellence in high quality services to the residents of HammondCare.

The essence of this role:

  • Provides high quality services to the residents of Hammond Care in accordance with HammondCare’s Mission in action
  • Effectively communicate and work together with internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively organise the meals in accordance with the resident needs.

About you

  • Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and patience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of infection control, manual handling, hazard identification and reduction.
  • Applied knowledge of dietary needs.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen and/or aged care environment.
  • High level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Capacity to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Adaptable with demonstrated experience in working in a flexible, multi-skilled team environment with demonstrated interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
