Centennial Lodge provides supported accommodation to men, women and families who are experiencing, or at risk of experiencing homelessness. It is a person centred approach that demonstrates TSA’s values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration.

In this role you will assist with food preparation and be responsible for the cleanliness of all catering related equipment and flatware including all washing areas at Centennial Lodge, within all food safety and OHS legislation, and in line with The Salvation Army Mission, Vision and values.

Selection Criteria:

• An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
• Flexibility to work on weekends.
• Previous kitchen hand experience is desirable.
• Having undertaken food hygiene training would be an advantage.
• WHS – knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation.
• Current Driver’s licence.
• Willingness to undergo a national police check.
• Hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or the ability to obtain
• Ability to anticipate the needs of clients.
• Good attention to detail and sound time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures.
• Team player with energy, flexibility and integrity.
