An opportunity for a Full Time Kitchen Attendant role has become available at Novotel Melbourne St Kilda. Located in the picturesque bayside suburb of St Kilda with 211 guest rooms, 12 function rooms including recently refurbished Ballroom, restaurant, bar & in-room dining services.

About the role:

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen by maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment and adhering to operational standards and procedures according to OH&S requirements.

The successful applicants will have:

• Have experience as kitchen hand in a busy kitchen environment

• Make sure that all food and beverage outlets have a supply of clean, sanitised and well presented equipment at all times

• Ensure the correct storage of all crockery, cutlery and glassware

• Be aware of and demonstrate strong food hygiene & OH&S practices, raising all issues and concerns immediate with the Executive Chef

• Can work flexible hours on a rotating 7 day roster

• Knowledge of manual handling and chemical safety
