A unique opportunity has become available for a driven and motivated Head Chef at Hopscotch located in Southbank.

A little about the venue; you might have guessed it – around here we love our hops! Pale, stout, dark, lager, kolsch, wheat… the list goes on. Taps for days you might say! Craft is our thing, supported by an extensive list of local & international favorites. Our onsite micro–brewery churns out boutique batches, all prepared by your favourite local brewers. It doesn’t stop there folks, we shake, blend & stir some mighty fine cocktails as well.

Food-wise we’re all about a quick, quality hand full of fun, so our patrons can balance a beer in the other hand. Our menu is not limited by country or style, it’s next level street-food with worldly flavours that certainly pack a punch.

We aim to provide a relaxed pub dining experience, without compromising on the standards and quality of our fare.

The successful applicant will possess:

• Confidence in their cooking abilities
• Creativity and high presentation standards
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor staff at a lower level
• Experience in running high-volume kitchens in a similar environment
• Strong motivation and creativity
• Ability and willingness to create a solid work environment for their team and the ability to mentor
• Previous experience with inventory control systems
• Food safety supervisor NSWFA

Experience Required:

• We are looking someone who has extensive experience in a similar role, has strong communication skills and enjoys new challenges.
• Experience in organising and executing functions of a range of sizes.
• Your previous management style will be similar in that the kitchen is run as the business centre in which you control COGS and wages
• Previous experience in high volume venue would be highly regarded. This is a hands on position where your input into the business will be highly valued.
