About the role

In order to provide an outstanding service to our clients, we operate a full boardroom catering service. The aim of our catering team is to ensure food is at five star restaurant standard, including imaginative and appealing presentation and to ensure that hygiene and safety are always observed.

Working closely with the catering team, reception team and front of house catering team, you will be responsible for providing outstanding catering, strong leadership and robust people management to the catering team. This will include planning, preparation and presentation of a wide variety of catering for client meetings, firm events, corporate dining and our contemporary café, along with effective management of the catering budget, operating procedures, ordering and stock management, ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene requirements and general ammonisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your skills in a multi-facet, friendly environment. You will be exposed to a great variety of culinary diversity and will play a key role in the effective functioning of the Catering department.

The hours of work are from 7.00am until 3.00pm Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to vary hours as required, as some of our functions take place in the evenings, but not weekends.

What experience are we looking for?

You will have:

  • proven experience as a head chef
  • a culinary Certificate of Degree, or similar chef certification including through an approved apprenticeship training program
  • experience of food preparation in a fine hat restaurant, 5 star establishment or corporate environment
  • exceptional leadership skills and kitchen management qualification/experience
  • a flair for being creative and health conscious in menu planning and preparation, keeping up to date with culinary trends and optimised kitchen processes
  • a service oriented and collaborative team player approach, with a positive and can-do attitude
  • have the flexibility to work varied hours
  • good computer skills, including experience with MS office software
