Cafe Mr. Huxley, is looking for a motivated and talented Head Chef to lead our team in creativity and excellence. Mr. Huxley is United Co.’s cafe where people come to meet, collaborate, refuel or relax.
Mr. Huxley is a contemporary café opening to support United Co. (state of the art coworking space) located on Smith Street in Fitzroy. While Mr. Huxley will accommodate 300 inside and out, you will also cater to United Co. members in the dining atrium and their private offices. About the role

• Opportunity to create and develop a contemporary menu in a collaborative environment;
• Make seasonal changes to the menu as required;
• You will lead, supervise and motivate your kitchen team to deliver a quality dining experience;
• Manage all aspects of the kitchen including ordering, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting and staffing;
• Previous experience as a Head Chef in a similar kitchen leadership role is essential;
• Your positive and respectful style will set the benchmark for a dynamic team who you will be tasked with training and developing to the next level and beyond;
• Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACCP and Food Safety Supervisor;
• Chef/cook trade qualification and comparable industry experience;
• You will have positive communication and interpersonal skills;
• You will have a strong work ethic.
