About the business and the role

SUD food & wine is a 50 seat, Italian restaurant in the Melbourne CBD

We are open Monday to Friday for lunch & dinner.

Saturday & Sunday off

10 shifts per week

Closed for public holidays & 4 weeks annual leave at Christmas

SUD is a long established Italian restaurant. We enjoy a great relationship with a strong clientele base who have become accustomed to great service, great food & great wine

In the coming weeks we will have a position available as Head chef. This is a hands on position in a small team. It is important to be fully experienced in all aspects of Italian cuisine & culture

We expect a professional approach to work while having a fun, a great attitude & enjoy a relaxed environment

Job tasks and responsibilities

We are looking for a head chef who is proud of their work, passionate about what they do, extensive a la carte experience and comfortable working with great produce

We are a small team, so you will have strong communication skills, excellent time management, great energy & be an effective team player.

You will be responsible for daily ordering, food costs,dealing directly with suppliers,menu specials, etc

You will be expected to work 10 shifts ( neg ) Monday to Friday

As head chef & a professional, you will be familiar with the responsibilities required in this position

Skills and experience

In this role, we are looking for a looking for a person who has extensive experience with Italian food & culture. We would like you to be someone who loves what they do & who is looking to be a part of a great team & environment.
