About the opportunity:

At Opal Aged care, we are seeking experienced Registered Nurses who are looking to relocate to a new area.

This is a full time role offering great work-life balance with Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm working hours.

About the relocation package:

Opal is offering a relocation package to the successful candidates. Eligibility to participate in a relocation assistance program may be on offer to the right candidate willing to relocate to Paynesville for this role.

Our Head Chef position is a culinary leadership role and will be responsible for:

• The creation and effective delivery of nutritious meals for residents, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Effective leadership of the Cooks, Kitchen Hands and overall culinary team.
• Ensuring the catering service is safe and of high quality that meets resident needs.
• Providing leadership to the team in the kitchen and ensuring they have the correct skills, knowledge and support to effectively fulfil their role.

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Cert IV in Commercial Cooking or international equivalent would be highly regarded but not essential
• Minimum 5 years in a Head Chef position is essential.
• Demonstrated management and team leadership skills.
• Food safety Supervisor Certificate is essential.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Food Safety Program and Legislative requirements (WH&S, Fire/Evacuation, Infection Control)
• The ability to cook home-style meals & pastries, along with food ordering & menu creation.
• The ability to set and work within a budget
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Pride in the quality of the food and meals that is produced in the kitchen
