This multi faceted venue which comprises of a cafe,kiosk and functions spaces is known for yummy affordable dishes and has been a destination for breakfast and lunch for families and friends for many years.

As Head Chef, your primary role will be to manage all areas of the kitchen operation. This position is suitable for a passionate chef, who is also looking for a work life balance, as it is predominately days with limited night shifts.

In conjunction with your team, you will have the opportunity to develop the menu, using seasonal ingredients and current food trends. This is a hands-on role, so you will be required to manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including food costing, ordering and plating up exceptional quality food. You will be required to supervise the kitchen brigade, so should be a team player and willing to train and develop your staff.

As the successful candidate you will demonstrate:

• Applicable trade qualifications and accreditations
• Previous experience as a Head Chef, preferably within a fast paced, multi venue environment
• Ability to plate up high quality food
• Passion for food and food trends, and experience creating menu items
• Previous experience managing food costs and ordering,
• Previous experience leading a team, including rostering, wages and training
• Proficiency in all aspects of food safety, including HACAP
• Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
