About the company and role
Known as the 'go to' on the bay for its range of craft beer, soulful finger food, and perfect views to sip away your lazy days in the sun, is now on the look out for a well rounded Head Chef capable of heading up a high volume operation.
It's classic bistro has played a huge factor in the venues success, nailing the locals needs and seeing an influx of returning customers in recent years.
The venue is also a big hit for functions, sports and entertainment, so theres rarely a dull day at the office and always something to get you excited.
This role requires a hands on leader to run service, mentor staff and manage par levels whilst making sure compliance with food safety & hygiene, OHS and company policies is constantly achieved.
You will have full control designing and costing menu's within the owners loyal and reliable suppliers.

Skills & experience
- 2+ years experience as a Head Chef, Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a fast paced bistro, gastro pub or casual dining restaurant is essential
- Great leadership and people management skills
- Results driven and target focuses - working to KPI's, budgets, COG's and P&L
- Advanced understanding of food safety and best practise standards
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery or apprentice changed
- Computer literate - confident using Excel, portal programs, and rostering systems
- Experience with kitchen audits is desirable
