The Meat & Wine Co South Yarra Restaurant forms part of a vibrant, passionate and dynamic national team.
Established in 2000, The Meat & Wine Co prides itself in providing an exceptional and unique steakhouse dining experience. The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and ambiance which is dedicated to our African heritage whilst still having reference to Australian surroundings.
As a Grill chef within our team, your duties will include:
- The production of high quality dishes following The Meat & Wine Co standards and recipes
- Previous experience cooking over a char-grill an advantage
- Expected, but not limited to understand all sections (pan, hot/cold & larder) of our kitchen, including grilling techniques
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2 years experience in a similar high volume environment
- Willingness to develop and train under guidance from our Grill Master
- A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification
- Advanced communication skills
- OH&S compliant with strict food hygiene practices
- Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
- Interest in development and progression within a growing company
- Have attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Flexible availability over a 7 day rotating roster
