Wintringham provides aged care services to those who are financially disadvantaged and have previously been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. Located in Flemington, McLean Lodge offers affordable, high quality accommodation and support to 21 men and women aged 50 years and over. McLean Lodge Hostel provides a safe, flexible and caring family-style environment which allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, habits and activities and to be as independent as they choose to be.

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic casual Food Service Attendant / Cook who is interested in picking up shifts between Monday and Friday with the availability to work 09:30 - 16:00.

The successful applicant will possess a Food Handling Certificate; have ordering and menu planning experience, as well as excellent communication skills. Prior experience utilising commercial cooking equipment is required.

We are looking for candidates with the following:

• Prior experience in Aged Care is required
• Food service experience will be looked on favourably
• The ability to work autonomously
• The ability to enhance or maintain our residents independence and lifestyle
• A friendly and non-judgmental attitude
• A commitment to social justice
