About the role

The Bush Hotel in Hawksburn Village, Toorak (formerly 505 Cellar & The Bush Inn Sports Bar) has recently been acquired by local operators from the nearby Orrong Hotel in Armadale. This small family owned business is seeking an executive chef who is available for an immediate start to manage the kitchen and casual staffing requirements.

What you would be doing

The main things that you would be doing include:

• Food preparation and cooking, plating, presentation
• Maintaining stock levels and ordering supplies
• Menu planning
• Food safety record keeping
• Managing the kitchen team

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for candidates with the following attributes:

• Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Experience in a similar role
• Creative, and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive under pressure
