Demi Chef wanted for coca chu, Hamilton Island’s modern South East Asian restaurant. Bringing adventurous, fun and seductive fare to the Whitsundays, coca chu is a centrepiece for modern Asian fusion dining. The eclectic menu based upon the hawker food stalls of South East Asia mixes bold flavours with elegant casual style.
About the Role
- Currently open for dinners nightly
- Full-time permanent position; shifts on rotating roster
- Must be available to work late nights and weekends
- Work in a team of up to 11 people in the kitchen
- Ensuring consistency of quality food standards of excellence during preparation and food service
About You
- Must have successfully completed Certificate 3 in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
- Minimum 1-2 years post apprenticeship experience in contemporary restaurants
- Experience with or interest in South East Asian inspired cuisine essential
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
- Having a high level of physically fitness - this is a demanding role in hot and humid tropical conditions
- A good attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the success of your team
- Minimum commitment of 12 months
