An opportunity exists for a Cook Assistant to contribute to quality care and services for residents through the provision of a high standard of food / catering services. The position of cook assistant is responsible to assist the Chef with planning and preparation. This role will also ensure that food is prepared and presented in accordance with the relevant guidelines and legislation to provide a quality service that meets our resident’s needs.

The ideal person will have knowledge of nutritional requirements, and experience working in food services in residential services or a disability environment. The candidate will have excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills, and proven experience in relating to a diverse range of people.

Food Handling certificate are essential.

An understanding of and ability to support compliance with Residential Aged Care Standards, OH&S and the Food Safety Act is essential.
