Think Childcare is a leading provider of Early Childhood Education & Care across Australia. We are now seeking a professional and experienced Cook for Joseph Avenue Early Learning & Kinder in Melbourne, VIC, to work 25 hours per week, Monday through to Friday.

As the Centre Cook, you will be responsible for providing healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care. This is a fast-paced and pivotal role, catering for up to 70 children per day.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and provide nutritionally balanced and appropriate meals for all children, taking into consideration their individual dietary requirements and allergies
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas as specified in the National Quality Standards 2.1 and 2.2
• Manage stock and place weekly food orders
• Interact and engage with all children, building meaningful relationships.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preparing food for large numbers
• Sound experience and up to date knowledge of food regulations and record keeping
• A Food Safety Certificate or Commercial Kitchen Certificate
• Previous experience in the childcare industry will be highly regarded.
