Think Childcare is a leading provider of Early Childhood Education & Care across Australia.

We are currently recruiting a professional and experienced Cook for Ardlie Street Early Learning and Kinder in Westmeadows, to work 8:30am to 3:30pm per week, Monday through to Friday.

As the Centre Cook, you will be responsible for providing healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care. This is a fast-paced and busy role, catering for up to 120 children per day.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and provide nutritionally balanced and appropriate meals for all children, taking into consideration their individual dietary requirements and allergies
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas as specified in the National Quality Standards 2.1 and 2.2
• Manage stock and place weekly food orders
• Interact and engage with all children, building meaningful relationships.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in a commercial kitchen preparing food for large numbers
• Previous experience in a childcare environment is highly desirable
• Sound experience and up to date knowledge of food regulations and record keeping
• A current Working with Children Check
• A Food Safety Certificate or Commercial Kitchen Certificate
