Job Details

The role will report into the owner/operator of the venue & you will be required to oversee the floor staff & train inexperienced staff behind the bar. The following necessary managerial duties are outlined below. The successful applicant will be need to:

  • Have solid hospitality experience that shows knowledge and initiative in supervising/managing front of house bar, staff & restaurant systems (min 1yr experience)
  • Be reliable & enthusiastic with the ability to influence, motivate and lead the front of house team
  • Be passionate about delivering great customer service
  • Liaise with staff and patrons to maintain a safe, hygienic and pleasant environment
  • Carry out staff inductions & training where necessary. Hiring of staff – including kitchen staff in conjunction with the head chef.
  • Be available to work both day and night shifts as required
  • Have a valid RSA certificate
  • Have excellent people skills
  • Have a desire to lead as well as be a team player
  • Live in close proximity to Manly
  • Be well presented personally & committed to maintaining a very well-presented venue
  • Good knowledge of cocktails is essential. Great knowledge of cocktails is a bonus
  • Someone who has a can-do attitude & the ability to find solution when issues crop up during a busy service.
  • Base salary of $70K + Super + Bonus

Additional Managerial duties will include:

  • Managing the front of house team
  • Floating tills & running till reports on daily takings & reporting back to the owner/operator
  • Creating & managing the roster
  • Carrying out weekly stocktake
  • Placing beverage orders
  • Assisting with organising & delivering functions at the venue
  • Gathering feedback from customers & reporting back to the owner & implementing changes
  • Manage the opening, setup, running and close-up of venue
  • Ensuring front of house is cleaned properly on a daily basis
  • Working closely with the head chef to plan updates to the menus & ensure the kitchen is operating smoothly & is being kept clean & tidy

The Hold is currently open from 5pm – midnight Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri & from 12pm to midnight on Sat & Sun. Closed on Mondays.
