About the Centre:

Purpose built centre with a beautiful spacious kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped, and you will have all the utensils you need to prepare delicious and healthy meals.

About the Role: Permanent part time Cook position.

As the Centre’s Cook you will be responsible for the preparation of delicious and nutritional meals for the children using seasonal menus.

Your working hours are Monday to Friday, average of 27 hours a week + 2h to complete weekly orders and admin.

If you hold a childcare qualification, you could get some extra hours on the floor supporting educator.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and provide nutritionally balanced and appropriate meals for all children, taking into consideration their individual dietary requirements and allergies.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas as specified in the National Quality Standards 2.1 and 2.2.
• Manage stock and place weekly food orders.
• Interact and engage with all children, building meaningful relationships.

Skills and Experience

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Food Safety and Handlers Certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check, current driver's licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
• Previous experience in similar role.
