Due to internal promotion, an opportunity exists to join the Theatre Bar kitchen brigade as a CDP, on either a full-time salary or a casual role averaging 30-35 hours per week.

About the role - Chef de Partie

• Based at the Sydney Theatre Company
• Work closely with the Sous and Head Chefs to ensure efficient food production and quality control
• Run your own section in a busy pre-theatre environment
• Ensure the highest standards of presentation and quality
• Modern Australian menu of small and large share plates, and grazing menu
• Lunch and dinner shifts rotate Monday to Saturday, have Sundays off

Essential Requirements

• Qualifications in Cert III or IV in Commercial Cookery
• A Food Safety Supervisor (or be willing to obtain the certificate)
• Experienced in fast-paced a la carte service
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be passionate and open to learning new skills in the kitchen
• Be punctual and reliable
• Hold valid working rights in Australia with the ability to work full-time hours

The Theatre Bar at the end of the Wharf offers diners and event guests a relaxed bar and dining space overlooking one of Australia's most iconic views. Seating approximately 300, the venue attracts pre- and post-theatre diners as well as being a popular bar in its own right, attracting consistent patronage from the general public due to its spectacular views coupled with a relaxed and friendly environment.
