food&desire have just opened a new venue, a new restaurant called Half Acre and have a major events such as Spring Racing and Grand Prix in the pipeline. So, we're looking for some kick ass Chefs of all levels to join our kitchen team! We are one of Melbourne’s leading catering and events companies, known for continually pushing the boundaries with our food. We run some of Melbourne’s coolest events, from weddings, car launches, corporate cocktail parties and private in-house dining, we also offer premium Kosher catering. Our diverse events create great development opportunities for our team.
Our Chefs are talented, driven individuals with a passion for creating innovative dishes that continue to surpass the expectations of our clients. Are you keen? Then come join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work in our brand new 550sqm production kitchen in South Melbourne, our brand new restaurant Half Acre, major events such as the Grand Prix and Spring Racing or at one of our venues across Melbourne.

What we’d love you to have -
- Previous experience, restaurants, fine dining or catering
- Certificate III Commercial Cookery
- Passion and creativity about food with excellent technical skills
- Professional presentation with communication skills second to none
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and large team environment, you thrive working under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills focussed on execution
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster on both weekdays and at least one day of the weekend
