A wonderful opportunity exists for the right person to be the manager of an iconic cafe and event space in Brunswick East.

The venue is a successful and important part of our community and shares the warehouse with our sister business Monsieur Truffe Chocolate factory.

In an alley garden outside and in a smaller hydro setup on the kitchen roof, we tend to micro herbs, mushrooms, honey bees, quail, and many other vegetables and flowers depending on the season.

The successful applicant will ideally have some management or supervisory experience, however we may consider someone inexperienced if the personality and work ethic are exceptional. Must have cafe/restaurant training in front of house.

The duties include:

overseeing the daily running of a busy cafe with high standards

liasing with the events team ensuring a smooth transition between events and cafe setup

doing rosters for the cafe, with wage costs in mind

completing or delegating an ordering system for all cafe requirements

coordinating with the head chef regarding menu items, specials etc

ensuring the cafe is kept at a high level of cleanliness

This role could also be tailored for someone who is interested for a relatively short time. 3 to 6 months is a possible. Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
