About the role

We are seeking dedicated and experienced, Breakfast Cook/Catering Assistant to join our kitchen team at our client's aged care facility located in Balwyn,VIC. This is a part-time role with a minimum of 22 hours available Mon-Fri.

Skills and experience

• 1+ year's experience in a similar role - aged care experience highly regarded.
• Reliable and punctual
• Collaboration and team work
• Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
• Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
• The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
• Must have own reliable transport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cooking and serving hot breakfast, preparing morning and afternoon tea as required.
• Processing and preparing moist mince and vitamized meal using shape-it moulds.
• Cleaning of serveries and trolley set up
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
• Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
• Preparing salads, vegetables and sandwiches in the main kitchen
• Function set up and clear down
• Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in preparation of food/beverages
