We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Working Supervisor to work with one of Assetlink's retail site's based in Western suburbs of Melbourne. This is a hands on role which will oversee and manage the operations of the afternoon cleaning team as well as deliver a high level of presentation and cleaning standards.

This position is fixed term with a potential to become permanent.

The hours of this role will be: Thurs and Fri 2pm - 9pm, Sat 11am - 6pm, Sun 10.30am - 5.30pm.

You will be responsible for:

• Supervising the the afternoon cleaning team of approximately up to 20 team members on Thursdays and Fridays only
• Providing support to the Cleaning Manager on the weekends
• Performing cleaning duties; detail cleaning, escalators, toilets, bins, general cleaning
• Provide effective leadership to cleaning personnel, including mentoring and training.
• Performing administrative functions, such as incident reporting, assisting with staff rosters, etc;
• Meet and exceed contract cleaning requirements.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with the client.
• Understand customer's security, environmental and safety requirements.
• Following Occupational Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Responding to general cleaning, periodical, preventative and emergency incidents or queries.

To be considered for the position you must have the following:

• Previous experience supervising a team
• Strong understanding of hard floor cleaning practices and related machinery
• Knowledge of cleaning practices, including infection control.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to give direction and instruction to people.
• Ability to multi-task, be flexible and work under pressure.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Is available to work weekends.
• Must have full work rights in Australia
• Must have previous shopping centre cleaning experience
