My client, a large not-for-profit organisation in the eastern fringe of Melbourne CBD, is requiring an experienced payroll officer who can start immediately for a period of 6-8 weeks.
This role will report to the Director of Finance but you will be expected to work with minimum direction, alongside one other payroll officer, processing fortnightly payroll for approximately 500 employees. Their will be end-to-end payroll duties which will include :

  • Processing of 500 corporate employees
  • Calculations / deductions PAYG withholding, Award Superannuation, WorkCover payments, Salary Packaging and Fringe Benefits Tax
  • Some payroll reporting & analytical duties to support Financial Accountant

Key criteria :

  • At least 2 years proven experience in a similar position
  • Professional approach and ability to communicate confidently with managers and stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Quick to learn new payroll software (or if you have experience in Greentree Payroll System, this would be an advantage)
