Realcorp Commercial Cleaning (Realcorp) is a specialist cleaning company operating within schools, office spaces, large residential common areas and other commercial facilities. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and skilled Team Leader & Relationship Manager to manage a large, multi-campus school contract in inner eastern Melbourne. We are looking for a professional individual to oversee operations, ensure that cleaning is consistently performed to a high standard, and to build and maintain a strong client-contractor relationship. The position is permanent, full time. Work may include hours outside of standard school hours.

It is expected that the Team Leader and Relationship Manager will spend a significant portion of their time physically doing cleaning work. We believe our teams operate best when our leaders lead from the front.

The successful candidate will take pride in their work and be passionate about providing great customer service with exceptional attention to detail. Candidates must be highly reliable, trustworthy, and must be able to demonstrate their experience in leading teams. All applicants must have school cleaning experience to be considered for this position.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

• Managing a team of staff for a range of cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, damp dusting, waste management, floor scrubbing and detailing work.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleaning for the tasks given at all times
• Training staff and overseeing their performance
• Ensuring that staff work in a safe manner
• Solving cleaning issues
• Managing staff shifts, time sheets
• Weekly reporting to management
• Regular quality audits
• Liaising with the client and ensuring that they are satisfied with the service
• Ensuring safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals
• Strong customer service approach with a positive can-do attitude
• Effective time management
• Checking equipment and reporting any faults to management
