BMS is seeking a Specialty Sales Representative to drive the promotion of the companies’ cardiovascular anticoagulant portfolio across Hospitals in West Victoria. Your customers in this role will include a range of specialties, including Cardiologists, Haematologists, Respiratory Physicians and Consultant / General Physicians. This role will cover a territory including Melbourne inner west, Geelong, Ballarat and Bendigo.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement business plans for key accounts that promote the safe and effective use of the portfolio
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets on your allocated territory, demonstrating prioritised resource utilisation
  • Deliver brand strategy in field, through exceptional product/competitor product knowledge, adherence to sales strategy and key selling messages
  • Regularly review and report account and territory performance and market trends to help identify opportunities to shape future business plans
  • Tailor clinical information to assist the customers make informed clinical decisions and treat their patients appropriately
  • Consistently utilizes available promotional materials, sales resources & technologies.
  • Foster excellent external and internal stakeholder relationships and participate in enterprise initiative to drive better outcomes for customers and patients
  • Ensure business objectives and practices are fully compliant with relevant laws, regulations and BMS standards of business conduct and ethics.
  • Complete administration and work within a set promotional budget, with accuracy and in a timely manner

Essential Experiences, Skills & Qualifications:

This role is available to experienced Hospital Sales Representatives with demonstrable experience navigating diverse customers across a hospital account.

  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Science, Healthcare, Business or a related discipline
  • Preferably you will demonstrate prior cardiovascular disease area experience.
  • Demonstrable capacity to effectively communicate technical and disease area information to all customers.
  • Proven ability to build peer-peer relationships with top-ranking medics, scientists or other healthcare professionals.
  • Deep insight into the hospital environment: customers, networks, access and relevant departments
  • Proven ability to execute key account management skillset with an enterprise lens focus
  • Sound business acumen/ selling ability and a solid track record in successfully managing profitable relationships with key accounts in a specialty environment
  • Superior disease area and scientific knowledge of therapy area
  • Ability to analyse, develop and execute territory business plans
  • Excellent communication, selling, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Energised by working collaboratively in a team and enabling peers to succeed
  • Ethical awareness and ability to navigate ethical issues with integrity
  • Motivation to succeed in a goal oriented environment against performance metrics
  • Excellent time management, organisational, administrative skills
