Since 2009, Collmill Group has been delivering specialist external cladding and framing services for high-end domestic builds and commercial construction projects. We are experts in architectural cladding, lightweight modulised facade framing and modulised facade cladding systems.

About the Role

Reporting to the Factory Manager you will be responsible to assist in the fabrication of aluminium panels, mild steel, MIG & TIG welding, CNC manufacturing and the building of lightweight steel frames.

Our team of fabricators cut and fold aluminium panels via CNC machining, build light gauge steel frame modules and fabricate steel brackets and sheeting for delivery to various construction sites around Melbourne for installation.

We are searching for a punctual, friendly and motivated person who will be willing to help with any required tasks.

Core duties include

You will alongside other factory staff and the Factory Manager to assist in all aspects of panel manufacturing, machining and fabrication of a variety of metal products maintaining consistency and accuracy, delivering a clean and accurate product for installation.

This work includes:

• Lifting of heavy panels
• Folding and CNC fabrication
• MIG & TIG Welding
• Use of hand tools / saws
• Delivering and picking up of materials
• Following occupational health & safety standards at all times
• All aspects of sheet metal fabrication

Licences, qualifications and experience

• Eye for detail and care for the finished product
• MIG & TIG Welding
• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication or signage manufacturing
• Ability to read and follow plans and work orders accurately
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated understanding of safety in the workplace
• Ability to use hand tools / saws
• Victorian drivers licence is essential
• Forklift licence desirable

• Evidence of a trade qualification

The hours of work are 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate must be flexible with overtime and some Saturday work.
