THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Sales Team Leader, your primary focus is to work closely with the BAA’s National Sales Manager (based in Melbourne) to ensure all aspects of day-to-day operations within the sales department are being delivered with integrity, flair, student centricity and in line with regulatory and company obligations. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based out of our St Kilda Road office. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a small team of Course Advisors
  • Coaching and Mentoring the sales team
  • Reaching sales targets and empowering and motivating the sales team to achieve individual targets
  • Hitting KPI target of amount of outbound calls per day
  • Ensuring the sales team achieve daily, weekly and monthly ‘student registration’ targets
  • Managing weekly and monthly reporting and analysis of sales conversions, leads and lead sources
  • Onboarding new staff as well as mentoring existing staff
  • Conducting new staff induction sessions
  • Provide accurate enrolment advice and support to course advisors and external lead generators
  • Provide accurate enrolment advice to prospective students nationally
  • Managing and distributing all leads that come through the business
  • Managing course waitlists and ensuring course schedule has appropriate courses available
  • Supporting the National Sales Manager with reporting requirements
  • Daily monitoring of the course schedule
  • Attending meetings that relate to courses schedule and class numbers
  • Communicating important sales updates and course changes to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring the accurate management of the BAA student database, VETrak and the CRM, Salesforce
  • Maximizing lead conversion and coming up with strategies to ensure effective lead management
  • Ensuring course advisors have ample leads through new leads, re-engagement, cancellation/ withdrawal and upskilling campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external lead generators.
  • Provide onboarding for new lead generators and continuous training for existing lead generators

WHO YOU ARE

You will have strong sales experience in the construction or related industry; and preferably a tertiary/TAFE building qualification or experience in residential building, production and/or sales; or building industry product knowledge.

In addition, knowledge of VETtrak, VETEnrol, RTOMS and competency in using and Salesforce is required, along with strong analytical skills and strong relationship building skills with major customers, clients and government agencies. You can lead and contribute to a successful team, and along with a strong customer focus, the capacity to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach are pivotal to being successful in this role.

You will be an exceptional communicator, and are able to use your experience in leading a team/s to work together to and achieve set targets and KPI's. High attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
