In addition to the overall technical design, their know-how also lies in the development of rotor blades with a length of more than 64 metres and in the integrated electrical and control technology for wind turbines. About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity based in Melbourne, where you will assess project requirements and validate the correct turbine selection for particular sites. You will also advise on wind farm layouts and optimisation and act in as sales capacity during client meetings.

Duties

• Conduct site visits as needed
• Run wind, energy assessments and load calculations in liaison with R&D team and provide reports
• Identify layout and operational mode optimizations and impact on design life
• Provide technical information to key stakeholders.
• Participate to meetings with Clients, Developers, and Consultants and proactively sell product
• Check, comment on performances guarantees in contracts and compliance with planning permits
• Engage consultant and arrange power curve and noise verifications for specific project
• Specify project met mast / Lidar requirements and manage data acquisition and reporting

Skills and Experience

A minimum of 5 years experience in the Wind Industry.

Knowledge of cartographies, topographics in different representation systems, GIS tools.

Statistics, master softwares like WasP, WindPro, WindFarmer and CFD tools.

Knowledge of aeroelastic codes and software packages like Bladed, Flex V.

Wind & Site assessment, layout and optimization

Wind Turbines technology knowledge.

Experience in analysing data and data sets.

Willingness to work hours outside typical work hours.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
