The Role

The primary purpose of the Postpaid Sales Execution Manager is to successfully execute the Postpaid sales strategy across all Sales channels, in order to grow market share and achievement of Annual Operating Plan ( AOP ) - the role will develop and implement strategy for the Postpaid category to grow contribution and profitability of category within each Sales Channel. Given the unique attributes of the various sales channels, the role requires the experience and ability to develop and mobilise teams to execute strategic and tactical channel initiatives to maximize opportunities to achieve aggressive AOP targets. As the Sales Execution Team is the prime interface between the sales channels, product, marketing, commercial and service, the person in this role needs to possess excellent collaboration skills to get outcomes across a range of different stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver against Sales Strategy and AOP Targets and drive the operational sales plan for Optus sales channels
  • Lead Sales planning, forecasting and gap closure activities in collaboration with product, commercial and sales channel leads
  • Leads the co-ordination of the sales performance & execution plan and drives execution working with cross functional teams - enablement, commercials, sales communications, product
  • Be the sales channel point of contact and subject matter expert for all things Postpaid and the conduit back into the business - commercial, product, marketing,
  • Conduct regular briefings to sales channel leaders to ensure they are keep up to date with on Postpaid changes and activities
  • Accountable for ensuring all sales channels are 100% enable to sell Postpaid and maximise the Postpaid sales opportunity
  • Lead all Postpaid GTM product launch activities and be the sales representative for major and tactical product launches

Requirements and Experience

  • Experience in a Postpaid sales/marketing role within Telco
  • Sales and operational experience in a national team environment
  • Proven ability to articulate strategic intent, storyline and the plan
  • Provable track record in meeting and exceeding targets, driving operational and customer journey outcomes at a national level across multi-channel service businesses
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to confidently work with stakeholders in a complex environment
  • Commercially savvy and ability to interpret and analyse sales data, identifying key trends and opportunities
  • Ability to use insight & data to pull together a plan with recommended outcomes
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communications skills including the ability to lead, negotiate, influence and work collaboratively with others to make decisions
  • Ability to think creatively
