Job description:

Overseeing and assisting the day shift team, you will be the Leading Hand of 13 workshop staff including; Diesel Mechanics, Trades Assistants and Apprentices.

Working in a modern and highly maintained workshop that takes pride in its fleet you will be managing and designating the daily jobs to the workshop team members and conducting final inspection before the trucks and trailers leave the work shop.

Tasks range from:

• Designation of daily jobs
• Prioritising jobs based on urgency
• Overseeing and checking on work conducted on fleet
• Quality control of fleet, including mechanical and visual
• Road testing
• Servicing and repair to fleet (minimal on tools work)

Your profile:

To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Diesel Fitter or relevant TRA
• HR license (desirable but not essential)

• Ability to pass a full medical including drug & alcohol test
