This senior role will have responsibility for Jetstar’s Industry Sales performance across Australia developing, leading and executing the agency sales strategy across the country.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Pursuing and growing retail, wholesale & group leisure sales and establishing and fostering relationships with key industry stakeholders to present the Jetstar value proposition
• Remove factors inhibiting sales, identify incremental revenue opportunities and implement strategic initiatives to grow profitable sales
• Evolve the Jetstar product offering to ensure it remains relevant to Jetstar’s targeted leisure segment
• Apply an end-to-end client management process ensuring Jetstar content is accessible, self-servicing options are made available and appropriate support is provided by Jetstar’s Industry Support Team
• Organise and represent Jetstar at industry forums with the ability to present to large groups
• Deal creation and management including negotiations, contracting & participation in tenders where required
• Design and deliver the Industry Sales engagement strategy, including but not limited to enhancing industry communications, learning and development materials and digital/face to face initiatives aimed at building Jetstar awareness and engagement through the industry.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills & experience:

• 5+ years travel industry sales experience with track record of success developing business and managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and with a thorough understanding of the Australia travel landscape; or
• Extensive and senior sales & business development experience combined with all other required skills and experience
• Confidence gathering and analysing data and sales performance
• Creating and executing sales plans with supporting business cases
• Managing revenue and cost budgets
• Negotiations (up to C level), deal management and strong influencing skills
• Experience hosting and presenting to professional groups
• Excellent customer service skills and sound decision making ability
