Our client is a leading accounting and company secretarial firm based in Melbourne with very few genuine competitors in this space. They are currently going through an organic and rapid growth period and with this growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to establish the team strategy and provide true leadership, mentoring, and coaching for the team. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for leading the preparation of financial statements; ensuring that all financial reporting deadlines are met, internally and externally
• Lead and manage the provision of strategic financial advice to ASX listed clientele
• Lead and mange new client on-boarding and staff transitions
• Maintain stakeholder and client relationships;
• Lead and manage the Audit process for the half-year and full-year reporting seasons
• Ensure accurate and timely statutory tax reporting for all ASX listed clients
• Lead the development of technical accounting papers and provide advice for colleagues
• Enhance the culture of the team, providing support and direction daily
• Develop initiatives for administrative efficiencies within the team and
• Liaise with clients, financial professionals including auditors, tax professionals, legal providers on accounting tasks and corporate transactions

About You

CA/CPA qualified, you have a proven track record in accounting with strong expertise in leading and managing the preparation of financial statements and the audit process for ASX-listed entities for the half-year and full-year reporting seasons.

Above all else you are a passionate hands on leader. Your excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, will help your team to structure their days in a fast paced environment, juggling multiple tasks at once. You are personally driven, comfortable working to deadlines within a team environment with impeccable attention to detail to ensure compliance to ASX and ASIC requirements.
