Reporting to the Group Housekeeping Manager, the scope and general purpose of job is:

Create and implement a total quality assurance process to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Housekeeping Department. To achieve maximum guest satisfaction by providing a high standard of cleanliness and maintaining the standard required. To perform and maintain audits to ensure high guest satisfaction and the delivery of targets.

Responsible for: All appropriate housekeeping areas, staff and standards

Main duties - Operational:
1. To ensure through effective supervision that all Housekeeping services are always available and are carried out with efficiency and courtesy.
2. To order linen to ensure the smooth flow of linen supply.
3. To liaise with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all necessary preventative maintenance and repair work is reported and actioned.
4. To liaise with the Customer Services Coordinator to anticipate occupancy levels, special requests and staff levels are correct.
5. To ensure that all rooms are thoroughly checked for correctness of standard prior to the guest arrival.
6. To analyse feedback provided by guests including in person and online.
7. To liaise with the suppliers to ensure stock efficiency.
8. To be responsible for the inventory of guest supplies, linen, uniforms, operating equipment and the ordering and replacement when necessary.
9. To be responsible for ordering cleaning supplies and guest supplies and to check that they are handled and stored correctly.
10. To make recommendations for the updating of equipment, cleaning methods, guest supply requirements and set-ups.
11. To ensure that all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations are strictly enforced by the employees.
12. To conduct regular Housekeeping meetings to keep employees informed of policies and procedures, special events, further improvement plans and guest comments.
13. To keep informed of the Housekeeping standards of competitor Hotels.
