Proper & Son Market Kitchen are currently on the lookout for friendly hospitality workers to join our Front of House Team within our bustling venue.

We are situated within the well-known South Melbourne Market, where we serve delicious food on a rotating menu based on all the freshest produce along with tasty coffee and beverages.

We look after our customers through high pace Counter and Table Service in a casual yet professional manner. All things with a smile.

We’re looking for driven individuals who take pride in their work, whether it be within a tight knit team or solo.

The roles available are:

Barista (30/40 hours per week)

• Producing quality coffee in high volume consistently
• Setting up, maintaining and cleaning coffee equipment
• Dialling in coffee grind

All Rounder (20/30 hours per week)

• Greeting customers
• Taking orders whether it be though table service or over the counter
• Delivering food & drink in a timely manner
• Keeping café & work stations clean

Given our location and reputation we are a high pace café that serves regulars and newcomers alike. We’re only open Market Days so that is 4 set days a week which makes planning your social life around work all the easier. Please note this includes weekends.
