The Langham Melbourne is a 5 star luxury hotel seeking Food & Beverage Attendants for our award winning Melba Restaurant.

These positions are available on a fixed term contract basis with the possibility to be extended or reviewed.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Be familiar with food and beverage service etiquette, serving all food and beverage in a professional manner and to the required standards.

· Have minimum of 1 year previous experience in a fast paced environment.

· A thorough knowledge of all menu and wine list items, in order to be able to accurately advise guests.

· Recognise opportunities to use up-selling techniques, in order to increase the average food and beverage spend.

· Ensure that the liquor and licensing laws are followed and understand the correct procedures for handling intoxicated and underage guests.

· Confidently make food and beverage recommendations to guests.

The requirements are:

· Current Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.

· Current Food Handler’s Certificate / Hygienic Practices for Food Safety Certificate.

· Experience in a similar role in a luxury environment.

· Sound beverage knowledge including and not limited to grape varieties, sprits, liqueurs etc.

· Full availability up to 36 hours per week including weekends, public holidays.

· Own transport prefereable.

· Ability to work across day, afternoon and evening shifts as required by the outlets.
