The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day Front of House (FOH) operations of the Cafe. They must be available to work full time and includes working Saturdays and Sundays, with general café hours being from 7:30am to 4pm.

This is the ideal role for an experienced and passionate candidate looking to:

• Lead and work with an energetic, creative and passionate team

• Share their passion and knowledge of the hospitality industry

General Expectations:

• Deliver exceptional service in a friendly and relaxed style

• Have at least 2 years experience in a similar position within the hospitality industry

• Be team oriented at all times

General Duties:

• Motivate and keep staff morale high, creating a great working culture and boosting team confidence

• Manage and being responsible for the day to day operations of the café

• Develop and maintain weekly rosters with labour cost targets in mind

• Manage bookings and enquiries

• Work closely with the management team to ensure the café is operating efficiently, effectively and profitably at all times

• Assist with Social media initiatives

• Conduct daily maintenance checks, ensure venue is clean and tidy and OH&S standards maintained

• Maintain stock control and ordering of FOH items

• Carry out end of day closure duties

Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities:

• Organise and allocate the relevant duties, responsibilities and expectations of all FOH staff.

• Have excellent attention to detail and time management skills

• Have excellent knowledge in all food and beverage areas

• Be confident and able to effectively, clearly and professionally communicate with all staff and customers

• Have an eye for detail and presentation standards
