Beam Communications is a successful Satellite Communications Manufacturing company focused on global distribution of our products and services.

This is an exciting time to join our team in this growth phase as it seeks a Customer Service & Sales Administrator, based in the Mulgrave area to assist in the Beam business and our Online store, SatPhone Shop.

The person we are seeking will ideally have experience assisting customers and supporting sales staff. You will be a friendly, courteous, and self-motivated team player, experienced in general office duties with an enthusiastic phone manner and great people skills. You will have strong computer skills across all Microsoft products and previous billing system experience would be an advantage.

We are a publicly listed company with a loyal client base and we are growing rapidly. The role will be a mix of administrative duties, sales support, Billing system management and dealing with customers on the phone, via email and in store at times.

You will take ownership of the Billing System ensuring the highest level of presentation and accuracy. You will play a critical role in support for the company Sales Manager and sales team in terms of administration and sales support functions.

Some key responsibilities of this position include: sales assistant working directly with the general manager, managing the billing system and completing customer monthly bills, creating new billing plans as required by the business, customer service, sales support, addressing customer queries and general administration duties as required across both the Beam and SatPhone Shop business.

This position is a dynamic mixture of:

  • Managing administrative tasks in a small office environment for the sales team
  • Direct assistance to the Sales Manager
  • Managing the billing system to support customers and the business as required.
  • Responding to sales enquiries across SatPhone Shop and Beam, telephone, occasional walk-in
  • Strong Customer Service / Sales Administration
  • Managing both inbound and outbound calls
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications and the ability to navigate various in-house databases
  • Excellent data entry and administrative skills – with previous experience in processing orders, setting up new customers, sales support, filing etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer queries or issues in a professional, effective and timely manner
  • Confidence dealing with customers and collaborating with our sales team
  • Offer support by following up on leads through website inquiries to acquire new customers
  • Be able to work autonomously
  • Assist the Marketing Team to better present our products online

This Role requires someone with reliability, initiative, solid customer service experience, good problem-solving skills and initiative, strong computer skills, high attention to detail, self-starter, and a proven ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
