The role

This hands-on role involves working in a Customer Service Team of six to ensure our customers receive a high level of service. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Team by performing the following duties:

  • Answering inbound phone calls
  • Resolving a variety of enquiries received by e-mail
  • Monitoring and coordinating the movement of freight
  • Liaising with contracted agents such as carriers and depots
  • Providing quotes and arranging the collection goods

Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • Very good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to providing a high level of customer service
  • A willingness to be hands on, with a "can do" attitude
  • Time management skills (ability to prioritise)
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills

Big Post are seeking someone with a friendly and ambitious personality who has at least two years’ experience working in a customer contact centre or providing customer service in an office environment. Experience working within the transport industry will be an advantage but is not essential. Applications from Australian citizens only.
