The opportunity!

An opportunity has recently become available for a Customer Service Officer to deliver support for our quality Lightweight System products and services to the Australian building industry. Based in our Yarraville office your primary responsibility will be to provide brilliant service to internal and external customers across the Victorian network.

Key Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent customer experiences to all internal and external customers through open, timely communication & effective use of available technologies.
  • Processing orders promptly and accurately
  • Maintaining orders for stock and date availability
  • Providing sales and technical support using product knowledge
  • Keeping customers updated and informing them of any transport or delivery issues
  • Communicating and recording break-downs in service or quality against agreed time frames
  • Maintaining records and files in a timely and efficient manner
  • Drive continual improvement in service provision and cost optimisation to both our business and our customers.
  • Assisting with coordination of new product launches as initiated by the marketing team
  • Supporting the sales teams so they can spend more face to face time with customers
  • Other general administration duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service position
  • Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and manage a range of stakeholders’ requirements
  • Process orientated and a drive to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to adapt and adjust work activities to achieve required results
  • The ability to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with SAP will be advantageous
